Mrs Cathy Pace Matthews

Cathy started writing rather late in life so she is making up for lost time. She now has seven books published but her first, Blood Lines The Curse, will always be her baby. Taking a real place she fell in love with she managed to make it the setting for a horror story. What set the whole thing in motion was a headstone found on the property back in the 1960's. She got curious one day and went out and cleaned it off and the story began.

The actual headstone was for two little girls, one eight who died in 1868 and the other ten who died in 1870, Cathy turned that headstone in the story to one for an 18 year old girl and that is how Mary Louise Devan was born and died on Oct. 7, 2013. Cathy has been writing ever since.

Fortunately she has a husband who is supportive along with three understanding daughters. The proudest day of her life since her girls have been grown was when one came to her after reading the book and told Cathy how much she loved the book and how proud she was of her mom. The fact it took her daughter a year to read the book didn't go unnoticed by Cathy. Her daughter was seriously afraid it would be awful and if it was this daughter would have told her exactly that.

She is presently working on her next book, A Drop Of Blood.

Cathy also does travel reviews and designs and makes one of a kind pieces of jewelry. She loves her husband, children, grandchildren, antiques, and old abandoned places. Also a converted 1963 4106 Greyhound bus that she and her husband travel in.
