David Thorne

David Thorne is an Australian satirist and New York Times bestselling author. His work has been featured on Have I got News For You, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, The Late Show with David Letterman, and Late Night with Conan O'Brien. He has worked as a graphic designer, copywriter, brand consultant, and creative director.

Thorne gained public recognition in 2008 for an email exchange in which he attempted to pay an overdue bill with a drawing of a seven-legged spider. The exchange spread virally leading to a surge of visitors to his website 27B/6. Thorne's first book, The Internet is a Playground - published by Penguin Group - debuted at number four on the New York Times Best Seller list and has been translated into Japanese, German, French, and Spanish.
