Dr. Lana McLean

Dr Lana McLean (1952) was born in Samoa, to European immigrant parents, and after experiencing the first years of life in this tropical setting, grew up in, Australia, and became an Australian citizen. For 30 years she has owned her own practice as an Educational Consultant and as a doctor of Philosophy, she has proven the link between Emotional Intelligence and Learning Difficulties. Dr McLean’s approach to writing is both unique and progressive as it is designed to engage readers in a journey of self-discovery and self-development in a way that no other texts have done in the past. Her recent foray into writing began in 2018 with her controversial blog style essay titled, ‘Is Education a Dirty Word.’ Her second publication, a fiction based on facts, titled, ‘In the Valley of the Shadow of Men’, is also controversial as it confronts the contemporary fallout from historic patriarchy. She has also published a children’s’ self-development book titled, ‘Ruby tells us why her body is so amazing,’ which serves as both a drawing book and teaching aid. It takes the small child on the pathway to toilet training, sharing life with a sibling and understanding how human life is created.
