A. E. Stone

A. E. Stone writes romantic thrillers — and she knows what she's writing about: she spent years covering crime for a newspaper before picking up the pen herself under her pen name.

In her Burden series, readers follow the members of Cobra, Austria's elite police tactical unit, through stories full of tension, danger, and the one thing that can bring even the toughest operatives to their knees: love. Her heroines are no naive girls, her heroes no flawless cardboard cutouts. They have rough edges and real emotions.

Both the plot and the characters are entirely fictional — but because A. E. Stone knows this world firsthand, the stories stay close to (possible) reality.

Curious how things turn out for Adam, Katharina, and the rest of the team? On Instagram (@aestoneautorin), the author shares behind-the-scenes glimpses of the Burden series and what's coming next.
