Mr. Patrick J Mahoney

After three solid and successful careers (EXECUTIVE in consumer products company-P&G/Clorox & German industrial firm-Kruppe; ENTREPRENEUR, Redwood Playgrounds & Park designs; and ACADEMIC, pursued PhD in computer science while administrating EE research and designing/implementing major computer systems-Georgia Tech) Patrick went on a personal journey to India and Tibet. His purpose was to understand the strength, resilience, and perseverance of the Tibetan peoples and the Dalai Lama; in the face of brutal repression. He conveyed what he learned in his first three books; to increase awareness of the tibetan people's plight, and to provide methods to help westerners cope with impending social challenges. While western peoples developed the worlds of science and material goods, the Tibetan culture journeyed into "inner-space" for 900+ years. Both cultures have benefited from sharing each other's lessons over the last decade, since the publishing of his books opened up both sets of doors, and provided bridges towards mutual understanding and learning. This led to the question of balanced self-improvement, actualization, and physical health. He spent 9 years working with health professionals, scientists, and athletes to provide a self-help evolution guide: "How To Be a Greek God; OR, To Be Fit For life," in 8 volumes. This series contrasts the misperceptions of media images of 'healthy & happy' to realities, and fully examines the male experience/mystique for young men with little constructive guidance to make healthier choices, and for women to better understand men. For in a turbulent period of change, "Fitness for Living Life" is more about successfully wading through a spectrum of confusing choices, than barbells. For this, we all benefit from hearing the true stories of men who persevered and the advice of professionals. They "wrote the books," patrick merely took very good notes and photos ;-)
