Jane MacLaren Walsh

Jane MacLaren Walsh grew up in Mexico City, where she studied archaeology. Anthropologist emerita at the Smithsonian Institution, she has specialized in pre-Columbian collections at the National Museum of Natural History for over forty years. She is an internationally recognized authority on crystal skulls and other fraudulent antiquities. Her current research combines archaeology and geology in the study of the iconic stone faces of Teotihuacan.
