Sarita Laurin Walker was born in Dallas, Texas and was raised in the early part of her childhood in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and the rest of her teenage years and adulthood in Hayward, California. She has been journaling since she was a little girl, telling stories of her own life. When she attended San Jose State University she took courses in Journalism, Advertising and Mass Communication studies. She decided to finish her Bachelors of Science Degree in Communications and Technology at the University of Phoenix. From there, she took to working at major dot.com retailers as a Merchandiser and Copywriter.
Sarita yearned to find her niche in writing and even wrote a screenplay based in Oakland, California. Once she decided that story telling was more her thing, she ventured into writing her first novel series, Charm City. She also started a Film Blog called Princess Film Diaries that relayed new and upcoming African American movies and TV shows . Her love for animals had her start her own pet sitting business and she can devote more time to writing . She is currently living both of her passions, telling stories about women over coming triumph and focusing on women empowerment, fiction and non-fiction.
