Stephen M Keck

Stephen M. Keck was born in 1959 in Corning, NY and grew up in the nearby town of Hornby. Apart from a brief time in Fort Myers, Florida, where he found faith and began his career in the heating, air conditioning and sheet metal trades, Stephen spent most of his fifty years in the Corning area. In 2010 he closed his heating and cooling business, of 14 years, and moved with his wife Mary and youngest daughter to the greater Atlanta city of Sugar Hill where he currently resides.

Faith has played a major role in Stephen's life and he has spent countless hours studying the Bible and serving God and his church in varying capacities. Although he feels blessed of God, his life, over the last few years has not been without its struggles. In 2012, a job that seemed to have great potential came to a roadblock and ended. Mary, his wife of thirty years, fought and lost her battle with cancer in 2016 and his mother passed just over a year later. Through it all, he has learned to lean heavily on his Lord and to trust him fully.

Writing was never on life's radar for Stephen, in fact, reading and writing have been his least favorite things to do throughout most of his life. Apart from the Bible, there have been very few books he has read cover to cover But, what he believes to be inspiration from God has birthed a new love for writing and a growing desire for reading. Stephen is currently transitioning out of the HVAC trade and working on a BA in general ministry. His first book, "With Hearts Surrendered" is a compilation of devotionals from studying the Bible and how life and the "Word" have influenced him over the years. It is the prayer of the author that this book will help the reader dive deeper into the Scriptures and gain valuable lessons for living a life of committed faith. A second book is in the works with a target of a 2020 release.
