Trevor Weaver

Born in Yorkshire in 1943 into a coal mining family at the height of the second world war Trevor Weaver has followed a varied career,

He retired from his working life at the tender age of forty nine. Since then, being financially secure, he has been able to follow his other interests. Foremost, designing and building a beautiful oriental garden which reflects his travels working around the world. In addition he has developed a passion of working with his hands, making furniture, reproducing styles from the past, Art Nouveau, Arts and Crafts, Art Deco, Green and Green etc.

His has a degree in Civil Engineering, and a Masters Degree in Operations Research. His early career was as a University lecturer and researcher into computer simulation at Southampton University. In 1969 he started a software company which he ran successfully for 10 years before selling it. He then moved on to Europe to work as a contract software manager on projects for the European Commission, World Bank, OECD, ESCAP, United Nations, and several European Governments. He has been involved on projects worldwide including China, Philippines, Indonesia, India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. He later worked extensively in eastern and southern Africa, and was awarded United Nations Diplomatic passport for his work.

He is currently completing a children's illustrated book of poems, “Poems of Childhood” to be published in early 2019. His next project is a further work about NASA and the Apollo Moon landings.
