Minyon Patton, lovingly referred to as Mickey, hails from Akron, Ohio, and wears many hats as an author, illustrator, and entrepreneur. With a self-driven spirit and an impressive array of credentials, she has made significant contributions in the realm of children's literature. Her standout work, "Who Says I Can't Be President? I Can Be Anything!", inspires young readers to dream beyond limits and chase their aspirations with confidence.

Beyond her literary endeavors, Minyon brings over 27 years of expertise to the construction industry. Her dedication to advocacy shines through particularly in her efforts to empower both children and women. As an executive team member of the non-profit organization Breaking Free to Be, she is committed to combating domestic violence and sexual assault through education and support. This organization plays a vital role in providing trauma-informed care and response strategies for survivors while offering essential resources to shelter advocates, case managers, and other professionals.
