Blake Matthews

Blake Matthews was born May 14th 1986. He is a Computer Science Teacher and Robotics coach, recently turned speaker and author. There is a strong need and desire among early and middle grade teachers for content with which to teach computer science concepts. He has presented at national and state conferences on the topic. He has taught professional development to teachers in the summer on the topic of computer science and literacy integration. During one of these week long seminars, he was reminded that there are almost no books (< 5 well regarded titles) written for this concept. It was suggested he write one. He took the mantle to create a resource for those teachers. He took the concept from title to completed, illustrated, and published picture book in 152 days with 43 crowdfunded pre-orders as a debut author.
