Jeff Rougvie

Jeff Rougvie is an award-winning music and comedy producer, who's been fortunate to be in the music business all his life, meeting bigger than life characters and witnessing historic events. He's played in bands, published fanzines, worked at record stores, managed bands, been a talent scout, and run multiple labels.

He's has worked with artists like Big Star, David Bowie, Elvis Costello, Devo, Bill Hicks, Ministry, Misfits, Mission of Burma, Morphine, The Raspberries, The Replacements, Bob Mould & Sugar, They Might Be Giants, Frank Zappa and more.

After writing liner notes for countless albums, including a special edition of Bowie's "Ziggy Stardust," "Gunning For Hits" is his first published work of fiction. It stars Martin Mills, an amoral A&R person in the mid-80's, with a string of unbroken hits and a mysterious past.

He lectures on David Bowie, does Expert Witness work for music business lawsuits, has a label (Supermegabot Music Concern) and his history of the Rykodisc label is in the works, (hopefully) releasing in Fall 2019.
