I was born in 1957, and grew up in Greater Manchester before moving to Sale, Cheshire fourteen years ago. I have been married to my husband David for 43 years and have two grown-up daughters.
I trained as a nurse at the very first NHS Hospital, Park Hospital, Davyhulme, Manchester, (now known as Trafford General Hospital) and my service to the NHS spanned 46 years. Towards the end of my career as a nurse, I trained in a variety of complementary therapies, and also worked as a therapist for a major cancer charity.
I am a Reiki Master and practicing spiritualist Medium and I also facilitate a local spiritual development circle. Having had numerous personal experiences of evidenced spirit and angelic contact, for me spirituality is not just a belief — I know it to be a fact; I know that our loved ones who have crossed over or returned Home are as alive as we are — they just continue to exist in a different way.
It was while working as a therapist that I found myself becoming inspired to write poetry, much of which is devoted to spiritual and environmental issues, for which I gives full credit to my spirit guides, angels and loved ones, who I think of as being my spirit team. My first anthology of poems, 'Angels Ink: A Collection of Poetry Inspired by Spirits and Angels', is available on Amazon Books.
'Who Said Dying Was Easy?' is my first novel. As well as being a work of fiction in the crime genre, I see it as being an instrument through which I have tried to explain about spirituality and the afterlife.
A second anthology of my poems is also close to completion, and I have a second novel in the pipe-line — watch this space!
