Patrick Kurtis Kent

Pastor Patrick Kurtis Kent was born in Hamilton, Ontario in 1974 and moved to Prince Edward Island, Canada when he was 12 years old. Kurtis grew up struggling with dyslexia, CAPD, and was mentally, emotionally, and physically abused. His life was full of struggles, and challenges and he was defeated by all of the things that happened to him as he grew up. He eventually turned to a life of crime and lived a wicked life as a drug dealer, alcoholic and brawler. It wasn't until the age of 29 when the Lord took home his father Greg, who was a believer in Jesus, that Kurtis got his life right. Greg faithfully prayed for his out of control son Kurtis. That is when Kurtis gave up his old life and trusted in Jesus and committed his life to the ministry of the gospel. Kurtis has also faced many health struggles in recent years and is a 3 time cancer survivor who was told by doctor's that he was not going to live. That didn't happen and Kurtis today is alive and well serving Jesus with his life.

Pastor Kurtis is now the Senior Pastor of the Waterville United Baptist Church in Waterville N.B. Canada. He is sold out to Jesus and is a faithful Husband, Father, Pastor, Author, Painter, and He love's the God's Great Outdoors. He is an avid hunter, fisherman, and he loves to camp, hike, travel, and spend time with his family in God's Creation.

I Had Cancer and Won: This Is How I Did it

What can I say about one of the most destructive diseases ever to hit the human race? A disease that takes no prisoners, shows no favorites and loves to maim, hurt, and destroy the lives of the people cancer infects. Cancer doesn’t care if you are nine months or ninety years old. Cancer can be slow and quiet or fast and furious. It is an abuser and a bully, able to force you into the corner of a boxing ring and beat you down physically, mentally, and emotionally. I have stared into the dark abyss of the unknown and personally felt the defeat of this fierce opponent named cancer. The cancer that threatened my life made a slow and subtle entrance when I was twenty-nine. It appeared twice more, forcing me to endure three surgeries and two sets of treatments. After my initial diagnosis, I went fourteen years with no indication of cancer clearance or remission from my doctors. But after studying and applying the many things I learned during all those years, my cancer doctor finally spoke those blessed words to my wife and I that we were so desperate to hear: “You are cancer free!”

I Had Cancer and Won is a book to help you battle your cancer head on. I will teach you about cleansing your body and eating right, and introducing the cancer killer, while explaining the importance of a healthy spiritual life in the midst of your cancer battle. GIVE THE MAN IN YOUR LIFE A GIFT OF A BOOK WHICH WILL ENHANCE HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH THE LORD

I read this book via an Amazon KINDLE Unlimited download.

As a Christian woman you’ve probably already witnessed how a daily devotional has improved the relationship you’ve got with the Lord, and which might have also enhanced the relationship you’ve got with your Christian husband, fiancé, or boyfriend. If you have, then why not give him something which can do the same thing for him.

While this book is certainly beneficial to the Lord’s male devotees by giving them, another means of getting a closer relationship with Him; it will also assist males who are in recovery programs, halfway houses, and prisons to males who are newcomers to the Lord in finding and realizing His greatness.

And if you happen to me a male who is reading this then get the book for yourself and look to the possibility of enhancing your relationship with the Lord on your own.

Remember, what is written at the end of the description for this book. It is the responsibility of males; husbands, fathers, uncles, sons, employees and co-workers, and citizens is to be, “MEN OF GOD.”

When we speak about devotions, I believe we should look at Romans 15:4 where it states:

For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.

As well as looking at 2 Timothy 3:16-17

16 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,

17 that the man of God [] may be complete, equipped for every good work.

For wanting to improve a man’s relationship to his Lord and hopefully to all those around him, it is gratifying to give the authors of this book the 5 STARS it’s gotten from this Reviewer of Christian books.
