She got her MA from the University of Virginia in History of Religion with a focus on Tibet. After graduate school she began teaching in Denver Public Schools. Her second book, Dekyi's Dream, is a spin off of Dorje the Yak that follows a young girl on a journey of self identity and realization. Little Mountain, her third book, is about seeing one's own worth and surrounding oneself with love.
