Frederik Forquignon

Frederik Forquignon (1992-) attended the Free Waldorf School in Kiel, early on he was enthusiastic and fascinated by the natural sciences. The school always offered him the freedom and encouragement to deepen his knowledge in the technical field.

From the beginning, F. Forquignon has often been in contact with medical topics because of his family. His siblings (brother - 1994, sister - 1996) follow in the footsteps of the parents and have careers in the medical field. F. Forquignon was very interested in medicine, but decided to study the natural sciences.

F. Forquignon graduated successfully with his high school diploma, after high school he worked in a variety of jobs, like caretaker, pizza maker and dishwasher to finance his trips abroad.

First, he walked the Camino de Santiago in France and Spain and continued to develop his linguistic and interpersonal skills because he came in contact with many different worldviews. After the way of St. James, he travelled to Australia where he did classic work and travel. Here he gained different professional experiences. So, he had jobs in the big cities in the office but also harvested everything agriculture had to offer in the outback. As varied as the work and environment was so diverse were the people he met.

He also travelled through Asia to gain cultural experience.

In his study of materials science, his enthusiasm for engineering flourished, and he was able to share his versatile nature with people who are equally interested in technology. From intelligent nanomaterials, innovative solar cells or better compatible medical implants, the spectrum of materials science continues to inspire his spirit. For F. Forquignon, this extremely broad and up-to-the-minute study, which deals with nanotechnology through microelectronics through to energy technology, brings together his interests in natural and engineering sciences across disciplines.
