Positions Held at Treasury: Current -Director, Global Compliance and Risk Management. Previous - Deputy Assistant Commissioner and Acting Assistant Commissioner, Office of Financing, U.S. Treasury.

Responsible for accurate and timely operations of the U.S. Treasury’s Auction process, including reduction of operational risk, lower borrowing cost over time.

o Served as the auctioneer for approximately 3,250 Treasury auctions issuing over $50 trillion in marketable debt securities; ensured that securities were auctioned and delivered within a tight deadline over a 19-year period.

o Ensured that all auction participants (over 600 entities) were in compliance with the auction rules. Conducted annual visits with primary dealers to discuss operations and compliance issues.

o Responsible for securities transfer, maintenance, and automation related to the National Book-Entry System (NBES).

o Authorized issuance, reinvestments, and partial and full redemptions of specialized non-marketable debt securities to foreign entities (foreign central banks).

o Managed staff of 78 professionals in multiple locations.

o Developed a global compliance program in the wake of the 1991 Salomon scandal.
