NT Orr

N.T. Orr was born Natasha Tingman in Brooklyn, New York. She moved to South Carolina in 2009 and currently resides there with her husband, daughter and two stepchildren. She works in a middle school as a STEM Teacher, delivering STEM-oriented instruction through project-based learning methods. Her focus in STEM is to give her students a blended learning environment that shows them how the scientific method applies to everyday life. She teaches students computational thinking and focuses on the real-world applications of problem-solving. She has been repositioned; so that she can be a positive influence for the youth in her community. She is currently working on her Teaching Certification at Grand Canyon University. She is the wife of a Little League Commissioner, so she spends lots of her time with the youth in her community.

One of her most significant accomplishments, besides being a mother, is being the Founder of SC Precious Jewels, a teen girls’ empowerment program. Established in 2013, to provide young ladies with an opportunity to grow socially and personally, SC Precious Jewels embraces the nature of young ladies. It encompasses community service, leadership development, etiquette workshops, and social activities. SC Precious Jewels help create lifestyle changes that young ladies can use for the duration of their lives. SC Precious Jewels is a sisterhood, a place that a young lady can call her own.

N.T. Orr loves to have fun, and her personality says it all. She is considered a mother of many, thanks to her students, her teen girls and her little league athletes.
