Buz Sawyers

Buz Sawyers resides in the Dallas, Texas area and currently teaches Creative Writing at Collin College in McKinney, Texas. He is the author of seven books including his most recent, Faith Through the Storm, the memoirs of Major James Capers, Jr. USMC (retired). Capers is an American hero who served his country for over 20 years, including fighting in Beirut, Lebanon and serving in the 3rd Force Recon in Vietnam in 1966 and 1967. His past books include Letters, a historical fiction based on the letters written home during the Civil War of his great-great uncle, James Durrett;the award winner of the Eric Hoffer, Best Commercial Fiction novel award, Shutterbug, and his latest mystery novel, John Doe, a throwback to the 1950's private detective genre featuring Harry Stumbaugh .
