Mark D. Williams DMA

Mark D. Williams is the Music Department Chair at Lake Tahoe Community College in South Lake Tahoe, CA. He has an MA from the University of Iowa and a DMA from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

His resumé includes professional performances from across the country and internationally in a wide variety of leading and character roles in musical theatre and opera. Dr. Williams is also active as a musical and stage director. Some of his favorite roles include: The Phantom in The Phantom of the Opera, Javert in Les Misérables, Jekyll/Hyde in Jekyll and Hyde, Jesus and Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar, King Arthur in Camelot, Henrik in A Little Night Music, Tony in West Side Story, and Cinderella’s Prince in Into the Woods. Williams is also the composer of four original musicals, Beauty, Guilty Pleasures, Lysistrata’s War, and Guilty Christmas.

In his spare time, Mark enjoys reading, movies, genealogy, and performing in musical theatre productions with his daughter, Roslyn.
