Peter Curtis

Peter Curtis is a best-selling author, award winning producer and creator of children’s characters, books and television series known and loved around the world.

With over a million book sales to his name, Peter is the creator and author of the popular children’s book series, The World of Dinosaur Roar! published by Hachette Children’s Group and produced in association with the Smithsonian Institution..

Peter has written or co-written over 20 books so far in The World of Dinosaur Roar! series including Dinosaur Roar and Friends! which was specially created for the 25th Anniversary of World Book Day 2022. His book, What Dinosaur Am I? is frequently in the Top 50 best-selling children's books on dinosaurs.

Prior to creating The World of Dinosaur Roar! Peter spent over 25 years working in children’s media. He was the Executive Producer of the original Bob The Builder television series and the multi award winning series, The Koala Brothers. He is the creator of the pre-school television series Rubbadubbers,

Born in South Wales, Peter graduated from the University of Wales, Cardiff with a Bachelor of Music degree before embarking on a career in television.

Today Peter is the Founder and Creative Director of UK based media company, The Dinosaur Roar Company and writes from his home in Hove on the East Sussex coast.
