Mikel Shilling

Adopted and raised by a WWII veteran, and being a veteran myself, I really found a passion for preserving the history of the veterans of the Greatest Generation. It started with my father’s WWII unit and the more research that I did one thing quickly became clear. When I asked families of my father’s Combat Engineer unit a simple question, they almost always had the same answer, they had no idea what their father went through during the war. My mission then shifted slightly from strictly collecting and preserving their story to also educating others on their story.
