Cathy Cook

A native of North Carolina, Cathy is a writer, teacher, preacher, and poet. She is the author of three books, including her memoir, "the Beagle and his Boy," and numerous journalism articles. Cathy is a recipient of the Francis Asbury Preaching Award and the Denman Evangelism Award from the United Methodist Church. As a Communications college teacher and scholar, she received Excellence in Teaching state recognition for her "Public Speaking" classes. She's presented at regional, national, and international Conferences, including the National Communication Association, the Southeastern Women's Studies Association, and the International Clergywomen's Consultation.

When she's not writing, Cathy loves spending time with her family, farming in her backyard, cuddling with her adopted rescue pups, and playing bells with the community band.
