After a briefing with top US policymakers in DC, John had a thought that one day he would use his skills and training to do something different, like writing children's books. After leaving the government, he found writing for children was a way to build a better tomorrow.

John writes to give parents and adults the opportunity to discuss present day issues and teach children to be better people than those before them. He believes children's books can do more to address today's issues and turn debates into teachable moments.

John's inspiration comes from Frederick Douglass, who said, "It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken men."
