David Foster

I was born in a small town in south central Oklahoma. I graduated from high school in Velma. It’s a small town known for oil and agriculture. My family has been there since the late 1800s.

I have lived in many states and several cities absorbing the local culture. I think it has helped me in my writing by understanding just how different we are. I’ve met real characters who fit no particular model and possess insight and philosophies over a broad spectrum. I feel deeply for each of the characters that I create. I feel their pain and joy. I laugh with them and cry with them as they put one foot in front of the other to wade through the many challenges of life.

I currently reside in north-central Tennessee.
