Duane S. Montague is an author, storyteller, illustrator, and former pastor on a mission to find the eternal in the everyday.
His books range from helping children explore the big questions of faith in the What About? series to discovering joy in the middle of the Christmas season in Resting Merry: Discovering Peace at Christmas and finding hope amid life's hardest moments in Let Go. He believes stories can help us see familiar things in new ways, discover God's grace in unexpected places, and find meaning in the ordinary moments of life.
Duane has spent more than 20 years in ministry and has written children's curriculum for David C. Cook, including The Action Bible Curriculum. His creative work also includes sixteen original holiday musicals, children's stage productions, sketch comedy, and books he has both written and illustrated.
A former teacher, Disney corporate trainer and manager, and creative director, Duane has spent much of his life helping people communicate ideas and tell meaningful stories.
He lives in Chino Hills, California, with his wife, Robyn. They're the parents of four children and are delighted to be grandparents. When he's not writing, Duane enjoys making memories with his family at Disneyland and America's national parks. He can also frequently be found sitting outside, listening to Disney Parks music loops and giving thanks for the California sunshine.
