Susan Schadler is an international economist and a children’s picture book writer—an unusual combination. For over 30 years she worked at the IMF with countries in Europe, Asia, and Africa. She now is a senior fellow at the Centre for International Governance Innovation. After several years in South Africa working and hiking she wrote a children’s picture book about a child’s walk in the unique biome of South Africa’s southern coastline, known as the fynbos.
