Dr. Chukwuebuka Egbuna (PhD) is a chartered chemist and academic researcher. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Chemists of Nigeria (ICCON), the Nigerian Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (NSBMB), and the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) (United Kingdom). Dr. Egbuna is a recipient of the Royal Society of Biology’s Top Project Award of the University of Port Harcourt in London, recognizing his outstanding research in the field of cancer, specifically acute myeloid leukemia. Dr. Egbuna is the founder and editor of the Elsevier book series on Drug Discovery Update, which includes books, monographs, and edited collections from all areas of drug discovery, including emerging therapeutic claims for the treatment of diseases. He has also founded two book series with Taylor & Francis on One-Health Approach in Combating Emerging Diseases and Nutritional Biochemistry and Toxicology. Dr. Egbuna has been engaged in roles at New Divine Favor Pharmaceutical Industry Limited, Akuzor Nkpor, Anambra State, Nigeria, and Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU) in Nigeria. Dr. Egbuna has published several research articles in journals of repute and is ranked among the top 500 Nigerian scientists in SciVal/SCOPUS. He is also ranked among Nigerians listed in the world top 2% best scientists. He has edited over 30 books with Elsevier, Springer, Wiley, Taylor & Francis, and IPS Intelligentsia Publishing Services, which he founded and serves as the Publishing Director. He is a reviewer and editorial board member of various journals. Dr. Egbuna has attended many conferences and workshops and served as a consultant on numerous research projects. His research interest cuts across several horizon, which includes biochemistry, phytochemistry, nutrition and toxicology, food and medicinal chemistry, and analytical biochemistry. Dr. Egbuna received his BSc and MSc in Biochemistry with distinction at COOU and PhD in Nutritional Biochemistry and Toxicology at Africa Centre of Excellence in Public Health and Toxicological Research, University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria under scholarship supported by World Bank, University of Port Harcourt, National Universities Commission and Association of African Universities. Dr. Egbuna is also involved in community development and social welfare in his hometown in Nkwelle Ogidi, Anambra State, Nigeria.
