Paul Cross

Paul Cross is an award-winning screenwriter, actor, director and producer with many feature films including Angel of Death, As Worlds Collide, and Ice Pawn which had its worldwide debut at the Cannes Film Festival, as well as television movies and mini-series such as Studs Lonigan, and Amazons to his acting credits.

Paul has directed, written and produced several documentaries and feature films which include, West End Story, An Anatomy of the Musical Theatre. Filmed on location in London and New York, the film stars many renowned performers and creators of many West End and Broadway's blockbuster hits. The film won Best Music Documentary at the New York International Independent Film & Video Festival. Paul's next documentary was Follow the Leader which was filmed at the White House and is the winner of Best Documentary at the Atlantic City Film Festival, and stars President George W. Bush, the Secret Service and other Washington notables. Paul won Best Original Screenplay for Champagne & Chocolate in 2004, at the Thunderbird International Film Festival in Utah.

In 2007, Paul made his feature film directorial debut with Severe Visibility, which was nominated Best North American Film at the Kuala Lumpur International Film Festival in Malaysia. For his direction of Operation Terror, which has been an Official Selection in more than ten international film festivals. Paul was nominated Best Director competing against Oscar nominated and Cannes Film Festival winning directors.

Paul is the recipient of the prestigious title of Kentucky Colonel bestowed on him by Governor Steven L. Beshear, as well as having a day named after him in his hometown in Kentucky.

Paul’s first novel, A Counterfeit Priest is the basis for his screenplay by the same title.
