Richard Conard

Richard Conard is a retired architect, since 2007. Following the retirement of his architectural practice in Denver, Colorado he built a home on the lake of his childhood in Minnesota. He intended to continue crafting designs, ski, fish, golf, relax (kick-back) and read. The plan was to catch up on the literary classics and those authors and books for which there wasn’t sufficient time while he was fully employed. His prior writing experiences were confined to technical writing: monotonous reports, building and material specifications; environmental protection and preservation; historic restoration and business related communications. He is currently working on his second book, “Linc.”

The winters in northwest Minnesota are long and frigid and considerable time is spent indoors. At some point where Conard’s main interests favored historical fiction and where current world events mirrored the experiences and folly of 20th century western civilization, he imagined a story. And rather than waiting to read it he attempted to write it. The Rupture is the result of that effort. It will be of interest to those that have read “The Rupture” that Mr. Conard is in progress of completing his second novel, a spin-off entitled “Linc: Robert Lincoln Darwin Skuliman-Phyler.” www.richardlconard.com
