Eve Turner

Eve Turner was born in London to Tricia and Al in 1955. Al came through Ellis Island, New York from the Ukraine via Vienna in 1921, after his family fled Bolshevik programs in Zhytomyr. Waiting in line for immigration her paternal grandfather decided to change the family name from Tonkanogi to Turner. Her grandfather, whom she never met, was a leading composer of Jewish liturgical music in the USA, while her father's desire to be a writer was never achieved. Both these elements have influenced her life: she studied music gaining a BMus and MMus and a Diploma in classical guitar, before eventually becoming a journalist, editor and leader in the BBC. Eve now spends her time coaching, supervising and facilitating, alongside volunteering for various charitable organisations and professional bodies and writing and researching of course!
