André Martin Mansoor, MD, is a Professor of Medicine at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon, where he serves as a hospitalist at the state’s academic medical center. Dedicated to medical education, he works closely with residents and students and has developed a practical “framework” approach for addressing common problems in internal medicine—an approach that inspired his textbook Frameworks for Internal Medicine. His academic interests include bedside procedures and the art of physical diagnosis. Since 2013, Dr. Mansoor has directed OHSU’s Physical Diagnosis course, a hands-on experience designed to teach medical students the skills and reasoning essential to bedside diagnosis.
