Ken Mackay
Born in Launceston, Tasmania, Ken was an army brat who spent much of his formative years visiting his grandmother’s farm on the banks of the South Esk just outside Hadspen. He grew up attending multiple schools, finally graduating from the ANU, in Canberra. A finance career followed, leading to much travel including a 25-year stint in New York. He finally returned to Canberra and, at the urging of his grandchildren and his author wife, Pamela Burton, commenced writing a children’s adventure story. Bluey was inspired by a visit to the Blue Tier, including the famous Goblin Walk. Dragons and magicians now haunt his dreams.
