Mr. Henry C. Powers Sr.

Henry (Hank) Powers was born in Boston Mass. during the Great Depression. He grew up in tough circumstances and worked the streets as a shoe shine boy at the age of ten. He quit school at 15 and worked on oil delivery trucks until he was 19, at which point he joined the U.S. Navy and served for 22 years, retiring as a Chief Petty Officer. He is an accomplished designer, watercolorist and sculptor. He is the father of a son and daughter and the widower of his late wife Elizabeth.
