Dave Lochtie

I am a co-editor of ‘The Higher Education Personal Tutor’s and Advisor’s Companion’ and co-author of the the book Effective Personal Tutoring having previously written a chapter in the book International Perspectives on Education.

I am Chair of the Professional Development Committee for the UK Advising and Tutoring (UKAT) group. I am also the Operations Manager for the Personal Learning Advisory Service at the Open University, having previously worked at the Universities of Derby, New Orleans and Roehampton in the management of personal tutoring, success coaching, administration and admissions. At the University of Roehampton and Bournemouth University Students Union I served as an elected Director, Trustee and Governor and have published research on international comparative education, retention and personal tutoring. Prior to this I worked as a qualified primary school teacher.
