A LITTLE INFORMATION ABOUT ME:

My real estate investment career has been based to a large extent on raising private capital for real estate investments; then I started coaching a few friends and colleagues. My website is at https://myrealestateinvestors.com.

Many of the people who wanted my coaching services were interested in relatively simple projects, however, such as “fix and flip” houses; they didn’t need the more advanced training I offer about raising capital from private investors. For that reason I began to refer people, when appropriate, to other real estate coaches.

I eventually recorded interviews with a number of real estate coaches who I feel are very good with their respective methods; those interviews became the basis for this book. There are in addition many other real estate investment coaches that I feel are excellent at what they do.

Some real estate trainers, however, are not very good, including a few well-known people who have a large number of complaints lodged against them. For that reason I also included a chapter about how to vet a real estate coach before hiring him or her.

The coaching professionals I interviewed, plus attorney Bruce Methven and author Steve Bergsman, are all very kind and quite professional. Each one of them took time out of their busy schedules to generously share a lot of good information with me and the people listening in during these interviews. I am grateful to every one of them.

The interview transcripts included with this book have been edited in places to remove a few duplicate statements and to otherwise make the presentation more readable. They also include some additional information and corrections which were not part of the original recorded conversations. Any errors that may have resulted from that process are mine alone.

MY BACKGROUND:

I'm a real estate investment coach and trainer, and a former real estate broker with over 30 years of experience.

Early in my career I left the real estate business for a few years & joined a prominent New York based investment-brokerage firm that trained him on Wall Street in New York City. While there I gained experience as a registered investment advisor and as an investment broker. I then returned to the real estate business.

My background includes founding and running a real estate company that grew to seven offices, with over 70 agents before being sold to a major national firm. After my real estate company was sold I joined a respected Southern California commercial brokerage firm where I was in charge of private real estate offerings and acquisitions.

I now actively coach people online about how to raise private investor capital for real estate and business ventures, and as noted above, I refer people, as appropriate, to other coaches who use methods different from my own.

For those who may be interested I'm an experienced pilot with several advanced ratings. In my spare time I enjoy flying, as well as outdoor sports such as white-water rafting and snow skiing. I'm also involved in certain charitable activities.
