Mr William E. Cullen

I studied for and took a degree in Psychology and Economics with the Open University in the UK. I gained an Honour’s Degree with them and along the way I learned several skills in writing (essays), statistics (experiments), reporting (experimental findings in essays) and researching.

Having graduated I used my degree to get elected to my son’s school as a parent school governor (gaining skills in making and delivering speeches). This then taught me about meetings, being a chairman, (I was honoured to become the chairman of the Strategic Planning Committee), and finance (setting budgets and financial planning).

At work I was then promoted to Service Delivery Manager for Change. I was put in charge of training the company’s other 180 Service Delivery Managers on the company’s program of change. Along the way I was formerly trained in presentation, leadership, and report writing skills (monthly reports!). I also took courses in Assertiveness, Time Management, and Stress Management, Motivating employees, and hiring them.

I also wrote the company manual on Change.

After some years I decided to take early retirement, (thanks to a change in the law), I have since taught Customer Service to one of the leading companies in The Gambia, and so, with these skills I decided to write my management book (The Bullet Point Guide to Management as a paperback and an E-book).

I am married and live in The Gambia, we have two adult children, one lives nearby, and the other teaches English in Thailand. I have five grandchildren, with one more granddaughter on the way.

So apart from writing two nonfiction management books, I have also fallen in love in providing books with no / little content, such as log books, journals, notebooks, sketchpads etc.

Bill
