Shana Trahan’s love for writing began in childhood, when her first poem “Love is a 4 Letter Word” was published while she was still in elementary school. By high school, her work appeared in print again, and during her undergraduate years she won a poetry contest at Southern University, where her poem was also published. For Shana, writing has always been more than words on a page—it is a way to relax, reflect, and ultimately help others find meaning in their own stories.
Born Shana Augillard in New Orleans, Louisiana, Shana grew up in a single-parent household and carries with her the resilience and insight that shaped her early years. Over the course of her career, she has worked with children, teens, and families across Texas, Louisiana, and Missouri, supporting individuals from infancy through the college years.
Today, Shana is the COO of The Trahan Therapy Center, a growing behavioral health practice that operates in eight states. Guided by the mission of “Shaping minds and changing lives,” she continues to inspire others through both her professional work and her writing. Her books reflect her passion for healing, growth, and empowering readers to navigate life’s challenges with courage and clarity.
