Scott Gilliland

Rev. Scott Gilliland is an ordained elder in The United Methodist Church. He currently serves alongside his wife, Rev. Raegan Gilliland, as an Associate Pastor at Lovers Lane United Methodist Church in Dallas, TX, where they lead a growing worship community called Thrive.

Scott has a passion for teaching and preaching about Christianity and the Bible in a compelling way that encourages critical thought and deeper faith. Born and raised in Dallas-Fort Worth, Scott is a proud Texan and Methodist. He believes that there is beauty in the tension found between the ancient beliefs of the Christian creeds and the needs of a 21st-century culture.

Scott and Raegan have one daughter, Andie Jane, and live in Plano, TX.

Scott's first book is "Together: United Methodists of the Temple, Tabernacle, and Lord's Table," which he co-authored with Rev. Dr. Stanley R. Copeland.
