Harriet Bletchley

Harriet Bletchley is a Christian novelist who has written two novels - The Angel of Parliament and Root, Branch and Sceptre. She has also written two comedy plays which were performed in London - Jenkins Ear (2003), The Reluctant Member (2004). She also co-wrote Hot Date which was performed, directed and produced by New Directions Theatre Company as a rehearsed reading.

She has written numerous sketches performed in churches and has written and published Christian poetry.

A History graduate, she is still passionate about history and politics. Having worked for a national daily newspaper and in the charity sector she is now retired. In her spare time she is actively involved with her local church and enjoys acrylic painting and thr East Anglian countryside.
