He grew up in Texarkana, Texas enjoying water sports, driving his Datsun 280zx too fast, and hanging out to his friends. He played football in high school, but suffered a separated shoulder in his junior season by trying to tackle a much bigger person than him. After high school he attended Texas A&M University and had the time of his life his freshman year as a member of the Singing Cadets. After an abysmal academic performance that first year he switched majors and did well during rest of his undergraduate studies. He also attended graduate school at Texas A&M and earned an MBA. He started working as a cost accountant, first for a clothing manufacturer then he switched industries and he got into healthcare. He earned a CPA license and stayed in healthcare for over twenty years, mostly as a CFO. It was about this time he decided to fulfill a lifelong dream and write a book, The Genesis of a Champion. Ascendance of a Champion, his second book, and Trials of a Champion, the third in the series, are out now. Triumph of a Champion will be out shortly. Thomas is married to his beautiful wife Tracie. He has two children who helped him with his book, Abigail and Alexandra. He also has three step children, Cameron, Katelynn, and Carleigh.
