Dorian "Dodie" Dunson II (born January 6, 1987) is an American author of the book WIN THE COURT: Self-motivation, Determination, and sharing the key roles to beating the odds in life and a college basketball coach. After struggling in the classroom his whole life, he started a journey to accomplish his goals and dreams. Dunson was diagnosed with a severe form of dyslexia. He has not allowed his learning disability to hinder his academic success; however, to overcome it, he dedicated himself to studying and working hard. This book will encourage others to press forward; we hope it motivates you to follow your own path in life and pursue your purpose.
Dunson is currently working at University of Alabama Birmingham as the women’s assistant basketball coach. He has served at multiple institutional universities, colleges, and high schools throughout his coaching career. Dunson’s academic success has helped shaped his journey; he earned his Associates of Arts degree (A.A.) in General Studies from Vincennes University, a Bachelor’s of Science (B.S.) in Social Work from Bradley University, and a Master’s of Science degree in Education (M.S.Ed.) from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
