I am the author of the strangers a second class syndicate. I was raised in Chicago. I worked for the YMCA youth action program in the 60's. I encountered gangs and eventually was the victim of several assassination attempts. I was shot four times. I am a u.s marine veteran of the Vietnam war. I witnessed the assassination of some of my closest friends that stood up with me against gang violence. My inspiration for writing this book was born out of the increased murders in Chicago. This work delves deeper into the societal causes of gangs. Although I must warn the readers of the violence in this story, but it couldn't be told without the true nature of gangs. Once again I warn the readers of it's disturbing violence. It is an effort to focus us on the possible solution to Chicago's murder rate.
