Dr. John Wagner

Yvonne and I have been actively involved in ministry for 46 years. I am a retired Navy chaplain and an Ordained Bishop in the Church of God, Cleveland, TN.

We currently live in Virginia Beach, Virginia and pastor the Lighthouse Military Ministry, a connecting point fellowship of Freedom Outreach International Ministry to the Military.

For the past 18 years Yvonne and I have opened our home every weekend to young military men and women stationed in the Norfolk/Virginia Beach area.

We try to help alleviate feelings of isolation, loneliness, boredom, and homesickness by providing a safe and caring family environment where they can enjoy good wholesome fun and fellowship while they are away from their families. A place where they can examine the claims of Christianity in a non-threatening environment, and grow in their personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Bible from Central Bible College, a Master of Divinity Degree from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry Degree from Regent University.
