Sheila Grace MD

Sheila Grace was born and raised in Texas. Like many transgender girls, she aggressively pursued alpha-male activities that dampened her episodic urges to be a woman. She graduated from West Point, received her Ranger tab, and served for four years as a paratrooper. After a distinguished military career, she earned her medical degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch, then was an exemplary physician for many years. Sheila is currently involved in research on transgender health initiatives, volunteers at a unique gender clinic, speaks to groups about her own journey, and continues to write. She is married with two grown children.
