I'm a husband to a wonderful wife, a dad to four great kids and four grand-kids. I'm a retired high school teacher: English, Economics, Government and Driver Education. I am in constant learning mode.

I won a national poetry contest right as I graduated college. You can find it on my website in the Blog section under "Poetry".

I have fond memories of watching old "scary" black and white movies with my dad on Saturday mornings as well as many poorly dubbed kung fu flicks with my brother. I also enjoyed going through the classics, award winners, and other notable films in my high school and college years. There are so many things out there to watch.

I have been moved by movies. Maybe you have, too. I think we need to be active watchers, thinking watchers, of the screens we spend so much time watching.
