Jesse W. Newton

Jesse W. Newton is the founder and CEO of Simplify Work, a global consultancy that specializes in unburdening organizations from paralyzing complexity (www.simplifywork.com). In his work with clients, Newton advises across the spectrum of simplification focal areas, including rethinking organizational structure, transforming culture, and building smart skills in individuals and teams. Clients include Mondelez International, McDonald’s Corporation, and PepsiCo.

Prior to launching Simplify Work, Newton was a senior member of Booz & Company’s Organization, Change and Leadership consulting practice. He also spent a number of years consulting with Ernst & Young’s People & Organizational Change practice.

As an expert advisor in Northwestern University’s postgraduate Designing for Organization Effectiveness Certification (DOEC) program, Newton provides practical coaching and is a speaker on topics including organization design, culture, and talent management.

Newton is the author of “Three Secrets of Organization Effectiveness,” published in Strategy + Business (volume 76, autumn 2014). He is also an international speaker and frequently appears in various news publications on the topic of organizational simplification.

Newton received his master of science degree in learning and organizational change from Northwestern University and a bachelor of commerce degree from Victoria University of Wellington with first class honors in management and international business.

Newton is a proud husband and father of two beautiful girls. He spends his time between homes in Chicago, Illinois, and Big Sky, Montana
