Shane Christen

Shane Christen is a professional amateur Living Historian who revels in dressing up in funny clothes and sleeping on the ground under the stars. His passion is history, particularly 19th century US history. He is the father to three of his own children and a couple more that aren’t his but who occasionally will call him dad or Uncle.

An electronic security technician by trade Shane has a thing for American Civil War firearms, levels and Archimedes drills and axes and adzes and God only knows what next. He is a consummate carny barker who could probably sell ice to an Eskimo if he ever used his powers for evil.

His wife, Bobbie, is his angel and he is fond of reminding her of that lest he wake up dead some morning. She tolerates and even sometimes encourages his penchant for collecting. After all 150+ year old levels work well for holding open cranky windows and old saws are even better at cutting down trees. If it works…
