McClelland's three dimensional characters are people with soul, haunted by their own demons and driven to make their way through life the best way they can. His characters bleed on the pages of his stories and aren't the toughest hombres on the landscape. His female characters sweat, swear, and are as tough as their male counterparts when pushed too far; and they love like tomorrow is never promised.

McClelland now lives in a lakeside town in the Okanagan valley where tourists come to die.
