James Duffy

When not on trial, (during which he is fortified by his wife's rich chicken broth) or more importantly when not spoiling his fifteen grandchildren and several four-legged friends; James Duffy can be found either sharing his lifelong love for the New York Yankees or indulging in his other great passion, American History.

One of the pre-eminent attorneys in the nation, James Duffy has been practicing law for more than 35 years. His verdicts and successes have frequently been reported in both consumer and professional media, including Newsday, the New York Law Journal, the New York Daily News and the New York Jury Verdict Reporter; and he is frequently sought after to lecture.

Recognized by both The Best Lawyers in America and Who's Who in America, James Duffy is the senior trial partner at Duffy & Duffy. He is a Founding Member of the New York Academy of Trial Lawyers and is a member of The American Trial Lawyers Association. Throughout his career he has been extremely active in championing the rights of injured persons and advancing their cause and is active in a number of local and national organizations.

Mr. Duffy has lectured and been interviewed throughout the United States and Great Britain and is currently planning a web-based audio and video lecture series on the history of the Constitutional Convention. You can receive advance notice of these upcoming lectures, and gain access to a special Q&A Session by joining Mr. Duffy's American History Reader's Group by clicking here.
